"Absolute nightmare of a process the last six+ weeks trying to understand why my bill was jumping around so much. Kurt is very nice and helpful, however Tim could not be bothered to try to explain or breakdown my bill. After multiple weeks, I sent a few lengthy emails asking for help that apparently sent Tim spiraling. He was very abrasive and rude. To the point where he accused me of saying negative things about his staff. He also accused me of asking for all of his companies phone records, which is absolutely ridiculous. I asked him to look at his records to see if he could produce evidence of his agents reaching out to explain my plan to me, of which I had no record in my call logs or voicemails. He then said I was asking for his entire company phone records and wouldn’t be doing that. He also told me everything had been explained to me in length already. And yet, there I was not understanding and instead being kicked down the line as another number. All I was doing was asking for answers. Was I getting frustrated I wasn’t getting any after seeing my bill continue to rise? Of course. But who wouldn’t. After a final abrasive email thread of me asking for help, Tim decided to just punt me over to another agent. Do yourself a favor and seek out an agent who will treat you, their customer, with respect, make time for you if you’re in distress about your account, and genuinely care about their business. In my experience, after five years of being a customer here, Tim Tinaza represents none of these things. EDIT: In response to Tim’s comment below, you offering to close the office on Monday was a very passive aggressive move. You also said since I was having such a hard time understanding that you’d bring in all your employees to explain it to me. You treated me like a child. I would love to know what insults I was sending to you and your employees. I’ve only said nice things about Kurt, and explained how our timeline of interactions went. I never said anything about anyone else in your office. Some screenshots of our email interactions below: - the Kurt email was never followed-up on. The rest is a thread between Tim and I that led to the breakdown and punting me to a new agent. Edit 2: Updated again with one more screenshot at the end. I was not contacted the next day."

"Update: We offered to close our entire office for you and for us all to assist you after over 25 emails (sections of 9 you posted) and calls for over 30 minutes you say didn’t occur or you stated you were told nothing during those calls. You insult us by saying we are treating you a certain way. After a firm appointment you replied with aggression and accusations and you would not stop when I set my boundary. You did not respect that, so I decided to part ways. We have spent hours trying to assist you. You keep accusing us of treating you bad when every message was replied to directly. When a fellow business owner offers his entire staff to make sure you clearly understand something you reply with insults and saying we treat you like a child. You said Kurt lied by not calling you and you wanted my phone records. He was insulted at this and my staff didn’t feel comfortable assisting you based on how you were acting. We do not wish to do business with you and warned you before transferring. You need someone who is okay with how you like to speak to people so I directed you towards an office that would better suit your needs. UPDATE: Since all information is being made public. We have all communication printed in a binder in the front and if anyone has any questions they can access anytime. Also, Kurt Sanburg is the employee who was personally offended and dealt with the customer and he will be happy to meet with anyone to answer any questions and give his full experience regarding the interaction. "Up until two years ago I had always handled all of my insurance policies on line. It was so frustrating. I felt like just another policy number. There was absolutely no customer care coming through to me. Then, two years ago, my best friend suggested that I call her State Farm agent, Tim Tinaza, located here in Montrose Co, and give them a try. I was skeptical but I called. I am so glad I did!!! I absolutely love dealing with State Farm!!! Specifically Shelby Dawson!!! She has been so professional, so knowledgeable, and so a available!! Even through the Covid debacle, I knew that if I needed any information or clarification about my insurance policies and such, all I had to do was drop in and see Shelby!! She was, and is, always happy to help, no matter what!! That really means a lot in this day and age. She is so invested in positively representing State Farm to anyone crossing her threshold that when I see or hear "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there" I think of Shelby !!! "I would give this place a low rating because of being a customer for more than 5 years, I’ve never got a discount for being an excellent driver as well as having more than one policy with them. Last year I talked to Tim on how to save with my State Farm policies and he gave me the run around. I was given a fob to put in my vehicle,after months of having it in the vehicle, the savings wasn’t much. I contacted Tim again that I found a better insurance company and to cancel my policies, which he decided to not cancel the policies and I ended up doing his job by calling in the 1-800 number to State Farm to cancel the policy myself. You will save yourself time and headaches by staying away from this insurance agent who does nothing for you"

"Hi there! I apologize that the meeting you requested to lower your bill didn’t produce in any additional discounts you qualified for and the one you did, you were upset with the amount of the one you did qualify for. We apologize that your discounts from our underwriting department were not as high as you would have liked. Also, it takes multiple weeks from any in office request (a cancellation) until it is fully cancelled by underwriting, backdated to the date of your request and your final documents sent to you which I believe Shelby explained today. We just did not do anything when you recently called and spoke to me, I submitted your request and underwriting had not processed it yet. We apologize for the time this process takes, it can be frustrating. It is not cancelled the second you call unfortunately at any State Farm office in the US. Congrats on finding a new great deal on your insurance! We love to hear it when people are able to save money. We appreciate your advice and will use it to work hard to continue to provide excellent customer service to our customers. Have a wonderful day and thank you for your review! -Tim Tinaza State Farm"

"The sign says Tim, but it’s definitely a team oriented business. Lilly runs a tight ship and it comes through with superior service and creates a high community standard. They also volunteer their time with local non profits, and I respect them as a business and for being good hearted people."

"I been with the same insurance carrier for over 9 years and was curious on if I can get a better quote. Lilly Ambani was beyond helpful gave a way better rate then what I had same coverage and all . "What kind of a person fires an employee for leaving work because their house is on fire DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS? I wouldn't trust an insurance agent, who likely deals with house fires on a regular basis, who obviously lacks the basic empathy necessary to effectively handle such a tragedy."

"I was with progressive for almost five years, I was unhappy because my monthly payment would keep going up. I called Tim tinaza’s office and Lilly helped me. In five minutes she was already offering me a better deal with renters insurance and much more. She is great, she always makes sure I understand what I am paying for.
